Description

A silver ring with a labradorite, size 14.5, featuring an oval stone that shimmers with intense shades of blue and turquoise when held up to the light. I set it in an irregular silver setting with details resembling twigs. It reminds me of a small forest spring with roots intertwining above it.

This labradorite is smaller than the large teardrops in this collection, but its color is sure to catch the eye. Against a dark background, a bright blue glow appears, crisscrossed by delicate lines. All you have to do is change the position of your hand to see how it shifts across the stone’s surface.

Silver twigs around the blue

I created a frame with soft, irregular edges around the labradorite. The silver curls slightly above and below the stone, and six polished tips overlap its surface.

Each one has a slightly different shape. Some are more pointed, others more rounded, so that the whole arrangement resembles twigs wrapping around a stone. I like this casual arrangement, especially with the calm, oval shape of the labradorite.

The darker recesses are accentuated by bright silver details. I left gaps on the sides, and the pattern continues onto the band. That’s why it’s worth looking at the ring from the side as well. From that angle, you can see parts of the setting that are hidden behind the stone when viewed from above.

How does it look on your hand?

The stone measures 12.6 × 7.5 mm. It’s small, but the silver setting adds width and presence to the entire ring. This is a great option for those who like elaborate settings but prefer a smaller stone.

You can wear this size 14.5 silver ring with a labradorite either on its own or paired with simple silver wedding bands. The blue looks great with black, grays, and light-colored clothes. I also like it with dark green, which complements its forest-like character.
