Shadow shield – silver ring with labradorite r. 12
This ring looks like a piece of enchanted armor – strong, full of structure, and mesmerizing at the same time. In the center I placed a labradorite in the shape of a slightly rounded cabochon. The stone shimmers in shades of purple, garnet and blue, as if an inner power is smoldering beneath its surface.
The organic, sculptural setting was created from modeled jewelers’ wax – I allowed the material to freely arrange itself into a structure reminiscent of lava or ancient roots. After casting in sterling silver, the whole piece gained a distinct character and noble durability.
