Silver ring with moonstone was created out of the need for light. I wanted it to be like the reflection of the moon in the water – subtle, cool and full of peace.
From the silver sheet I formed a delicate setting, in which I set a faceted moonstone measuring 2 × 1 cm. Its brilliance changes depending on the angle – sometimes it shimmers blue, and sometimes it dims to a milky glow. This makes each ring different, as if it had its own phase of the moon.
I made the whole piece by hand from sterling silver.The ring is smooth and comfortable, so the ring fits perfectly on the finger. Size 15 is a classic, well-fitting form that fits most hands.
