I created this ring by hand from sterling silver, using the lost wax method. I gave the setting an irregular, organic texture – it resembles the surface of a rock, tree bark or natural veins of stones. This makes the ring look like an artifact found in a wild forest – wild, raw, real.
In the center I set a natural, uncut Australian opal. The stone shines a subtle blue against a milky beige background – it shimmers in the light, attracts the eye and seems to carry a piece of the sky. I left it in its original form to preserve its authenticity and raw beauty.
