Rose Quartz Necklace – Silver Flower
This rose quartz necklace was created from the need to make something light, soft, and close to the body. The pendant’s shape evokes a flower, yet it’s not perfectly symmetrical or decorative in the classical sense. I shaped the entire piece by hand, focusing on subtle lines, calm proportions, and the natural rhythm of the form.
First, the form was sculpted in wax. I worked with it softly and intuitively, allowing the shape to develop without a rigid plan. Only later was the pendant cast in 925 sterling silver and finished, preserving minor irregularities. This means the surface isn’t perfectly smooth, but bears the mark of the hand and the process.
In the center of the flower, I set a natural rose quartz with a delicate, milky-pink hue. This stone doesn’t dominate the form but harmoniously integrates into it. Its soft color subtly reflects light and adds warmth to the whole piece. Combined with silver, it creates a calm, feminine composition that works well for everyday wear.
The necklace rests naturally on the décolletage and doesn’t draw attention in an obtrusive way. Instead, it leaves space and lightness, allowing it to be worn both solo and layered with other jewelry. It’s a detail that doesn’t need an occasion.
