The moonstone pastel light necklace has a very soft, calm effect to it. With movement there are delicate transitions between pink, blue and milky glow, but everything is subdued, without strong contrasts.
The surface of the stone is smooth, so the light does not reflect harshly, but spills over it subtly. This effect is best seen in motion, when the colors begin to change and intermingle.
I made the setting by hand from silver. It has a simple, slightly organic form and small balls at the bottom. It is a small detail that adds character, but does not overwhelm the whole. The whole thing is not perfectly even and thus looks more natural.
This moonstone necklace wears well for everyday wear. It is visually lightweight and goes well with light-colored items, but also breaks up darker styles nicely. You can wear it solo or combine it with other chains.
Each piece is slightly different. The differences can be seen in the arrangement of colors and in how the stone reacts to light.
Moonstone is associated with calmness and intuition. This version shows more of its soft, pastel side.
It’s a good choice if you like very subtle effects and soft light. It’s not contrasty or “flashy,” but it has its own vibe.
