Silver “Witch’s Knot” Necklace – Fiery Heart

Description

I crafted the “Fiery Heart” Witch’s Knot necklace from 925 sterling silver. I set a red pyrope garnet with a diameter of 5 mm in the center of the openwork pendant.

Witch’s Knot Necklace with Pyrope Garnet

Four loops form an open, irregular pattern. I darkened the recesses of the silver with an oxidizing agent to highlight the texture and fine details. The garnet is small, but its vivid red immediately catches the eye.

The Witch’s Knot is associated with protection. Its closed loop design can be worn as a personal talisman.

After casting the pendant, I soldered on the setting, set the stone, and hand-finished the silver. The pendant looks great worn on its own.
