Silver “Witch’s Knot” Necklace – Night Fire

Description

I crafted the “Night Fire” silver necklace with a garnet from 925 sterling silver. I set a 5-mm-diameter garnet in the center of the openwork Witch’s Knot. Its deep red color becomes more vivid when the stone catches the light.

Silver Necklace with Garnet and a Witch’s Knot

Four loops form an irregular, open pattern. I darkened the recesses of the silver with an oxidizing agent to bring out the texture and fine details. After casting the pendant, I soldered the setting, set the stone, and hand-finished the entire piece.

The Witch’s Knot is associated with protection. Its closed loop pattern can be worn as a personal talisman.

The pendant comes with a silver chain approximately 42 cm long, with an additional 3 cm extension.
