Kyanite Necklace – Silver Floral Pendant
This kyanite necklace blends sculptural form with natural stone, prioritizing process over repeatability. At its heart is a blue kyanite, set in a silver pendant inspired by a flower. I handcrafted the entire piece, focusing on texture, proportions, and the serene character of the form, ensuring each item differs in detail, with no two pendants being identical.
I first sculpted the form in wax, allowing the shape to develop intuitively, without a predefined sketch. The pendant was then cast in 925 sterling silver and finished, preserving subtle irregularities. Oxidized elements highlight the relief, adding depth and a noble, slightly raw character to the jewelry.
At the center of the pendant is a natural kyanite with a deep blue hue. This stone beautifully reflects light without dominating the form.
