Description

A silver ring with a dendritic agate, size 12.5, featuring a light-colored teardrop-shaped stone and dark patterns resembling tree branches. I immediately saw a winter forest in it. The milky white, gray patches, and fine branches look like trees seen against a snowy backdrop.

I like the pattern in the lower part of the stone the most. Thin lines merge into larger, dark spots, leaving plenty of light background in between. Higher up, the agate becomes grayer and slightly translucent. Everything fits within a single small drop, but there’s plenty to take in.

Twigs and Silver Droplets

I crafted the setting from irregular silver elements that surround the stone and extend into the band. On the sides, you can see open spaces and shapes resembling tangled twigs. Four polished tips overlap the agate and hold it in place on both sides.

I added small silver beads above the tip of the drop and below its rounded bottom. They look a bit like dewdrops resting on branches. It’s a small detail, but you can see it clearly when you look at the ring up close.

The darker recesses accentuate the shape of the setting, while the light-colored edges reflect the light. Silver has an uneven surface and plenty of nooks and crannies. This allows it to complement the natural pattern of the agate, rather than drawing attention away from it.

How does it look on the hand?

The drop sits along the finger, and the openwork sides extend the setting on both sides. The light-colored stone stands out clearly against the darkened silver. From a distance, this contrast is what catches the eye, while up close you can see the fine veins inside the agate.

You can wear this size 12.5 silver ring with dendritic agate on its own or pair it with simple wedding bands. It looks great with black, grays, and light-colored knitwear. It has subtle colors, so it’s easy to match with your outfits, even though the setting itself is striking.
