Ruby Necklace – Silver Flower
This ruby necklace was created for women who appreciate both delicacy and distinctiveness. The pendant’s shape evokes a flower, yet it’s not perfectly symmetrical or decorative in the classic sense. I hand-shaped every line and surface, giving the piece an organic, soft character.
The creation process began with sculpting the form in wax. I worked without a rigid plan, allowing the shape to evolve intuitively. Only later was the pendant cast in 925 sterling silver and carefully finished. This preserved subtle irregularities and the artisan’s touch, lending authenticity to the jewelry.
At the center of the floral pendant, I set a natural ruby with a deep, raspberry hue. This stone has been associated with courage, love, and inner strength for centuries. In this design, the ruby doesn’t act as a dominant embellishment but rather an integral part of the form. Its color draws the eye, yet remains in harmony with the silver.
The pendant measures approximately 21 × 21 mm, making it noticeable but not overwhelming. I hung the necklace on a 45 cm silver chain with an additional 3 cm extender. This allows you to easily adjust it to your neckline or wear it layered with other chains.
