I made this sterling silver necklace with obsidian and rose quartz by hand from sterling silver. It was first created in wax and then cast in silver, so the whole thing has an organic, slightly crude form inspired by branches and forest structures. I wanted it to look a bit like a small talisman found somewhere in the woods or a hidden piece of fairy jewelry.
In the center I framed a black obsidian with a deep, dark luster. The stone contrasts with bright, delicate rose quartz in the form of a faceted drop, which moves with every movement and adds lightness to the whole. The combination of these two stones gives the necklace a dark and subtle character at the same time.
Silver obsidian necklace inspired by nature
The form of the pendant resembles intertwining branches or forest vines. I like to create jewelry that looks a bit like a piece of another world – organic, irregular and full of details visible only up close.
Obsidian has for years been associated with protection and strength, and rose quartz with delicacy and tranquility. Together they make a very contrasting but harmonious combination. This model looks good with dark styles, as well as with soft, light fabrics and natural colors.
I make each piece by hand, so the details and texture of the silver may vary slightly. This makes each necklace one of a kind.
