Silver moon necklace with black obsidian – Lunaria

This sterling silver moon necklace was created by hand from sterling silver. I first carved it in wax and then cast it in silver, so the surface of the moon has an irregular, organic texture. It is not perfectly smooth, and this is what gives it character. It looks a bit like a small fragment of something old and found in the night.

In the center I embedded a black obsidian with a deep, dark luster. The stone contrasts beautifully with the silver and gives the whole piece a more dark, calm atmosphere. Obsidian has a simplicity about it, but at the same time it is very eye-catching. Especially when combined with the cool light of silver.

Silver moon necklace inspired by the night

Lunaria is a collection inspired by the moon, night light and natural structures. I wanted these necklaces to look a bit like little talismans. Delicate, but with character.

This is jewelry that can be worn every day. It looks good with black, soft sweaters, linen shirts and simple styles. The black obsidian adds a more striking, nocturnal touch to this model, but still remains subtle and lightweight.

I make each piece by hand, so the silver texture and details may vary slightly. This makes each necklace unique.
