Nyxara Blue Flash – Moonstone Necklace

I crafted the Nyxara Blue Flash crescent moon necklace from 925 sterling silver. Its form was originally hand-carved in wax and then cast in silver. As a result, the surface of the crescent moon is irregular and full of fine details, which I further emphasized with a patina.

In the center, I set a natural, faceted moonstone with an intense blue flash. Depending on the angle of the light, the stone shifts from nearly transparent to deep blue, occasionally revealing delicate purple reflections as well.

Nyxara Blue Flash is part of the Moon Whisper series, inspired by the moon, the light of night, and organic forms. This model has a more raw and striking design than the more delicate Avelune. The crescent moon is deeply sculpted, irregular in shape, and finished with slender, sharp tips.

I wanted to preserve the traces of the hand-carving on the wax model. After casting, I highlighted the recesses with dark oxidizer and polished the raised areas. This makes the texture clearly visible, and the silver shimmers in the light along with the stone.

The most distinctive feature of this piece is the moonstone. Its intense blue sheen appears as the angle of the light changes and contrasts sharply with the dark recesses of the oxidized silver.

The necklace is small, so even though it has a more striking design, it works well for everyday wear. You can wear it on its own or pair it with other delicate necklaces.

I finish each piece by hand. Natural stones may vary in shade and intensity of their sheen, and there may be slight variations in the patina and texture of the silver.
