Description

The Sylva silver ring with a green labradorite was designed around a large, oblong stone. Depending on the light, the labradorite shifts from dark green to light green-turquoise hues.

I made the setting out of 925 sterling silver using the lost-wax casting method. It’s irregular, openwork, and heavily sculpted, with open spaces on the sides. The large stone takes up a significant portion of the hand, but the piece as a whole still looks light.

The coolest thing about this stone is its color. In one corner, it’s deep and dark, but if you just move your hand slightly, a green glow appears on it. In the center, you can also see the natural lines and structure of the labradorite.
