This sterling silver ring with a moonstone looks as if it has captured the soft light just before dawn. Pastel pink mixes with cool blue here, and the faceted stone changes its luster with every movement of the hand. Once it appears milky and delicate, and a moment later it reflects an intense blue glow.

I made this ring by hand using the lost wax method, so its form remains organic and full of natural irregularities. The silver wraps around the stone like tangled roots or branches, and the sharp paw feet add a more obscure touch to the whole. This makes the jewelry look ethereal, but at the same time has something raw and unobvious about it.

The moonstone impresses with its pastel colors. It shows shades of powder pink, milky white and cool blue. What’s more, the faceting additionally brings out the light reflections, so the ring shimmers beautifully both in natural light and in the evening.
