Description

A silver ring with a labradorite, size 17, featuring a large teardrop-shaped stone and a setting resembling tangled twigs. A bit woodsy, a bit gothic. But it really comes alive when light hits it.

At first glance, labradorite appears dark, but just move your hand over it, and it reveals shades of blue and a hint of purple. With the next movement, the colors fade or appear in a different spot. It’s precisely this unpredictability that makes me love this stone so much. You can get a little lost in it.

Silver twigs

I surrounded the stone with irregular silver details. They resemble twigs that entwine the labradorite and hold it in place from several sides. I left gaps on the sides, so the setting can also be viewed from the side.

The darker recesses emphasize its shape, while the polished sections catch the light. Up close, you can see tiny irregularities, nooks and crannies, and silver tips overlapping the stone. It’s these details that give it a forest-like character.

How does it look on the hand?

The labradorite measures 22 × 12 mm, so this ring is hard to miss. The elongated teardrop shape takes up a good portion of the finger, and the silver setting surrounds it on all sides. The photos of it on the hand best show its size and proportions.

You can wear it on its own or pair it with simple silver bands. I like it best when it has a little space around it so you can really take a good look at the stone. If you like bold jewelry and intertwined, organic shapes, this might be just the piece for you.
