Black Tourmaline Necklace – Under the Night Sky

Description

I made the black tourmaline necklace “Under the Night Sky” as a more contrasting version. Still peaceful, but with more character.

In the center is a piece of black tourmaline. I left it in its natural form, so it has its own texture and is not perfectly smooth. This makes it look more raw and real.

There are small stones all around – rock crystal, topaz, labradorite, iolite, sapphire and onyx. They are lighter and darker, so the whole thing is not uniform. It’s a bit like the night sky – it’s not “flat” black, there’s just something going on there.

I assemble this black tourmaline necklace by hand, stone by stone. No two identical pieces are created, because each arrangement comes out a little differently.

On the neck it sits close and stable, but not heavy. It has a calmness to it, but it is not delicate in an obvious way. Rather, it’s such a quiet touch that only becomes apparent after a while.

About the stones

The stones I used in this necklace are natural, so they may vary in color, texture and clarity. They are not perfectly even – and this is what makes each piece look a little different.

I select them so that together they form a coherent whole. Even small differences matter and affect the final effect.
